Elite Plastics Achieve BRCGS AA Grade Accreditation
/Elite Plastics Enters The Food Market With BRCGS Packaging Materials AA grade accreditation
Elite Plastics one of the UK's leading manufacturers of bespoke polythene films, bags, and covers is now ready to supply the food packaging sector after achieving AA grade BRCGS Packaging Materials certification on its first attempt.
Underscoring the company’s commitment to excellence, quality, and safety in every product it delivers, Elite has recently invested millions of pounds into equipment at its state-of-the-art factory, including an Erema recycling line to double the size of the company’s inhouse recycling operations, and a Bandera production line optimised for energy-efficient production.
Sustainability is a key ethos at Elite, utilising renewable solar energy in it’s production process and the company has worked hard to ensure that post-consumer waste can be recycled back into customer products and extrusion is done in the most energy-efficient way per kg of polythene produced.
Already a supplier to the automotive, construction, glass, and industrial sectors across the UK and Europe, Elite Plastics is now looking forward to providing greater choice to the food packaging sector.
Elite manufactures the following polythene products suitable for the food sector: Shrink film, box liners, tray liners, dolav liners, pallet covers, packing bags and sacks, flow wrap, form fill seal film, and more – all available unprinted or custom-branded to suit customer needs.
Jamie Gibson, Commercial Director at Elite Plastics, said: “Achieving an AA grade on your first attempt at BRCGS certification is testament to how dedicated this company is to doing things the right way and the hard work of the entire team. It allows us to expand our reach into new markets. It’s an exciting time for Elite.”
